If you're just getting into it then I'd say DON'T!!!
I have a friend that just found out she has something on one of her lungs, she'll need to crarry around oxygen for the next three months while she waits for her death. She tells me it's like her body is decomposing while she's still alive. She cries everyday and wishes that she had one more chance to start over, but she still needs to smoke everyday even when she is dying.
    Three of my favourite:

I'm going to find each and every one of your little internet friends!

I now feel like I went into shock. I started breathing heavily and lost my sense of what was going on.

    Fuck that.

I've got a pipe, I love it. I can't give you advice on what tobacco to smoke since it's all down to personal preference. Pipe tobacco is hella cheap, too; $3-4 for an oz. Go to a tobacconist, smell around for what bags you like, and buy a couple ozs, and keep smoking what you like.

And when you go, buy a pipe that you like. Pick up a bunch and buy one that you like the feel of in your hand. Make sure it's not too thin, either, as it'll get too hot when you hold it by the bowl after smoking. Don't be afraid to ask questions to the guy in the store because if you try to pretend you know what you're talking about and you don't, you'll sound like an idiot. Just tell him you want a pipe and he can hook you up.

Tobaccanist will be your best bet. Where you find pipe tobacco, you will find pipes.

Personally, I prefer cigars for my celebrations. The pipe is nice too, but I find them a tad strong for the most part.

Thank you guys, finally not a bunch of queers. Some real men. I bought a new briar pipe today actually, love it, my favorite out of my 3 so far.

I'm currently on some vanilla tobacco right now but i find its not that great, ive been searching for some banana flavoured stuff recently.

Im going to epicure to get a custom blend made on tueday, hopefully itll suit my likings.

People that don't smoke are queers, and not real men? Some might argue that any man with a need or desire to habitually suck on something might in fact be the be the queer - particularly when that something has what resembles a nutsuck on one end.

Tell us the truth, is it really the flavour of the banana that you prefer, or is it the shape? I bet you like the shape. Sounds manly and not queer to me.

when I used to smoke I always had a bag of cherry cavendish, some vanilla and a tin of davidoff or a name close to that. and from there I bought small bags of whatever smelled nice.

I kept it all in a big air tight cookie jar with an orange or an apple slice kept inside to keep things moist.

for the most part I used vanilla as my base then added other flavors. I enjoyed it, every time I lit my pipe it was a different experience.

I never really inhaled deeply, just enjoyed the aromas and flavors. however after a few months of liberal smoking I started to hack up some nasty stuff.

    I quit smoking entirely.

Nicely put. I came in here looking for some good info as well. Instead, I find an argument about fags and what the "moral majority" think of smoking. Typical beyond trolling...

I enjoy a good cigar quite often as well. Sitting in the hot tub with a good stiff drink and a nice Cohiba....heaven. I've been wanting to switch to a pipe as the tobacco you can get for them smells even better than a good cigar. I've seen some damn expensive pipes though.

    Some good info here: http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/topi...smoking-guide/
