Question Does anyone on here speak and write Korean?

I need a favor from someone who can write in Korean. I buy a lot of groceries from a Korean family who owns a little grocery store. They are the sweetest people and always bring new things to the store when I ask for them. The only problem is their English is not very good and sometimes they don't understand what I'm asking for? I was wondering if I made a list of items could someone write it in Korean for me and scan the piece of paper and post it on the boards?

    THanks

Extra Lean Ground Beef - Frozen
    Grated Cheese
    Hashbrowns
    Pickled Asparagus - Jar
    Large bottles of Tobasco
    Lean Bacon
Spicey Banana Pepper rings - Jar
    Can opener
Stoupher's Large frozen dinners (preferably Meatloaf)

    Haha

    Thanks again

my korean sucks too much for me to write all that... but I could ask my mom.

    Where this little store at?

    Here is an idea...

Go to Safeway, or Superstore... buy the stuff you want them to bring in... bring in the full or empties to them and show them what you want...

probably easier than trying to find someone to write all this stuff out for you.

Dude... they'll get pissed off cause he bought someone elses products...

That's great though... I'm glad you're supporting the ole` mom and pop shops... they are SO handy, and you can make good friends that way.

Well because I like them so much I wanted to show them I took the time and effort to get them a list in Korean. You know what I mean?

I hope this works. I had my gf type it out in Word and I am cutting and pasting. You may have to enable the Korean fonts on your computer.

I can't get it to work? Can you have her write on paper and scan it or take a digital picture of it and the post to the boards?

...no daughter involved...just some nice people. Of course I wish there was...LOL

What version of windows do you have? You can easily enable it in XP (I did). I can read it on my home computer, but not my work computer (since I have NT at work). I don't have a scanner or digicam (well, I have this one I got for free with my cell, but I doubt you'd be able to read the writing on the pictures it took).

In Internet explorer, click on View -> then encoding -> then pick korean out of the list.

You might have to d/l the language pack, but IE should prompt you to do that automatically.

That is all I did... then took a screen capture of ai-yah's post.

Just take some pictures of the items that you want, then show them the pictures. Just for fun, sneak a picture of a Korean girl in there.

    Problem solved.

Go to control panel and then to date, time, language, and regional options. YOu may need the Windows CD.
