Default Where do you prefer to live?

    Hi,
    The City Or the Countryside?
Personally I want to live in the countryside, I'm a nature lover!
How about you, where do you want to live?

In a small town, with a decent lake nearby.

The problem is I have no interest in driving an hour to work each way.

I lived in varsity all my life and just recently moved out to bearspaw. It kind of sucked not having any friends around but living on an acreage sure beats living in the city. There's nothing like opening up your front door in the middle of the afternoon to finda flock of meese

The Countryside for me! I love going out to our place in Rocky Mountain House, just wish i could live there full time (still need to make a living). We lived in N.E Calgary for 9 years, built one of the first homes in Saddleridge, which at that time seemed seperated from Calgary with nothing much around the community.Back in a small town again and love it.My ultimate goal is to one day buy a acreage west or North West of Calgary.

I've lived both city and country.

For me, as a young adult - city. You just can't hop on the bus, ride you bike, or walk to a store - it's a 30 minute minimum drive.

When I'm like my dad, an old fogie - It'll be country.

I'd rather live by the ocean. Hence why me and my gf are moving to New Brunswick in a year or so.

Best thing about Vancouver is that even when you live downtown you still get that smaller town feel because of water, parks, and just how clean it is. Granted when I lived there I lived in Yale town, but still.

I grew up in the smallest town in the Okanagan. Oliver baby (ok ya ok fals is smaller lol) and I would have to say if I could work from home I would move back to a small town right away.

I love where I live now. A quiet neighbourhood with almost everything I need in walking distance, a big yard with lots of space to hangout outside, and just across the river from downtown. 10 minute bus ride to work, 12 minute bike ride, or 5 minute drive.

inner-city just cause of my lifestyle, maybe country living would be nice to grow older in!

Either right in the heart of the city (ie: inner city) or somewhere like Bragg Creek or Canmore

Suburbs- small town living but close enough that the "big city" is just a short drive away

I didn't mind the city when I first moved here. But now with the constant construction, the fact that the municipal government can't run this city, the lack of snow removal, the increase in crime, the increase in traffic, the neverending blanket of dust due to construction, etc. I just feel like moving back to the maritimes at this point would be great.

Which I am doing as soon as humanely possible. Just seems like this city doesn't have much to offer to those wanting to raise a family or settle down. Seems too money oriented for me. I'll take living by the coast over big city living any day. I'd rather be able to walk ten minutes to the beach rather than walk ten minutes to more cookie cutter houses and neighborhoods.

Personally, small town, along the ocean side. I grew up in one, couldn't wait to get the fuck out of it when I hit 18, and now at 31, I'm desperate to get back (though not my own home town, as that one has gotten too big itself... fucking baby boomer retirees)

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.
