I always got those little jumping terrors (with the striped body) in my room. They're so unpredictable and fast it's so spooky.

I remember when I was younger, my sis and I were playing on the computer (probably that badass Indiana Jones game) in the basement and one of those garden centipedes fell from the roof and landed on the desk right beside my sister. She screamed so loud it was hilarious, but being the manly child I was I just crushed it with my bicep.

Those have been in the basement at my parents house for as long as I remember, never had any issues or concerns.

Be glad you don't have a bunch of earwigs in your house. That one picture of one is a pretty good representation; they are totally creepy looking things.

When I was younger I was told they crawl into your ear and lay eggs. I don't think that's actualyl true, but I still hate 'em.
