    Default Data Recovery?

I'm looking for a place in town that can help me recover some tunes from a damaged 1tb hard drive (fell off my desk while running, is now bricked). If you know anyone who specializes in this let me know. Friggin geeks on the way was a waste of time and said they couldn't do it but I want a second opinion. Thanks for the help guys.

$4k will get you your data back. Lots of data recovery houses.

We unfortunately don't do this kind of data recovery. The fall probably damaged the heads, which requires that they be replaced to recover the data. Most recovery shops will charge between $500-$1500.

If you're serious about getting the data back I would suggest not toying with the drive. A big fall can damage many components in the drive, you never know what might "give way" on the next power cycle.
