Nikon 16-35 f4 VR will be $1265.64 at TCS. Good price IMO (Same as U.S. MSRP).
Not a perfect comparison due to varying max aperture, but MTF curves show it being sharper than the Nikon 17-35, Canon 16-35II, Canon 17-40/4, about equal to the Nikon 24-70 @ 24mm, and holds up very well to the Nikon 14-24.
Bottom line is that it should be a very sharp lens overall. My tax return is coming soon...decisions, decisions.
The 24 1.4 will be $2097.47 at TCS, more than $100 less than U.S. MSRP. Thats $200 more than the Canon version but MTF curves show it to be significantly sharper @ 1.4. Should be awesome for those needing this particular range all the time.

I can't wait to get my hands on that 24mm 1.4! I got one on hold at TCS.
The same source who accurately predicted the 24/1.4 and 16-35/4 VR has said there is a 24-120 f4 VR coming this year. Should be a nice update it that's true.
Hopefully it doesn't suck ass like the last version.

The last version was fine other than some sample variation and the variable aperture. There were some copies as sharp as the 24-70 f2.8 in that range, and other copies that were very average. It's due for an update though. With the way Nikon has been making lenses lately, I would expect it to be nothing short of spectacular and probably somewhere between $1200 and $1500.Originally posted by G-Suede
