    Default Bearspaw Internet Providers?

Wondering if anyone knows what company or companies provide internet services to the Bearspaw area?

    Thanks in advance

Maybe they do to some of Bearspaw but not on Glendale Road from what they said.

We've had Pathcom Wireless before. I would personally recommend to stay away from them. More downtime than up, and when it was up, it was slow. Also, any type of weather affected the damn thing. Worse that Satellite TV.

Any other options? I can't get shaw, and telus is slow due to infrastructure.

There's a few WiMAX providers, but it won't be getting you anywhere near the speeds of in-the-city cable or DSL. Slow internet was the bane of my existence when I lived on Bearspaw Road.

    You can check into:

    AirSpeed
    CCI Wireless
    xplornet
    RFNow!
    Platinum
    YourLink
    Pathcom
    Davinci BB
    JRT Wireless
    Syban Systems Ltd.

stay away from Xplornet, I hate dealing with their customer/support department

we're using CCI Wireless for our office in Sundre and there hasnt been any outages yet since our install in October, we had to wait 2-3 weeks for the install though

All I know of are Xplornet and Telus.
Telus, agreed, is slow out there. Complain and they just send you a new router.
The green feed box they have is full and needs upgrading.

Xplornet I know has the same issues as all satellite internet providers. I believe Bell bought them out too. So it's really a bell service now.

    I'll look at CCI.

I thought telus was bad until I looked at xplornet.

My aunt has them out by Balzac and nothing but trouble/increasing costs.

Been out a few times to help fix stuff up. Their IT group is a pain, basically they tell you to turn everything on/off.

I'm using platinum comunication and it's alright. No limit, $60 a month, pretty stable connection. Don't expect to play games or anything

    Hey guys,

Sorry super old thread but was looking at coverage and it does seem that Shaw provides 300 MB in Bearspaw?? TELUS only offers 6 MB there! (Lone Pine Crescent)

Also FYI telus is now offering LTE with 500GB for $75
    https://www.telus.com/en/internet/smart-hub

And for those looking into the future Mr. Musky's Starlink super fast space internet will be available hopefully November 2020.
