Different lighting setups is all.
That shot had a bare SB-600 being shot through the little shrubs we had the eggs positioned in.
My submition had much different lighting
Haha, pretty good guys, you got too much time on your hands
Went to the zoo on Sunday....I thought going at 9am would be good, but every child in Calgary was there, so I couldn't spend as much time as I liked setting up shots. Anyways here is a few I've gone through. All with 70-200 or 300/4 + 1.4TC.
Those turned out great Mark! The hippo one makes me laugh
Ultracrepidarian
the red panda one is great...70-200? glad to see you're getting use out of it

Thanks guys.
The red panda was actually shot with the 300/4 and 1.4 TC. Almost the entire time I was there they were up in their little houses, so they were pretty far away. The flamingo, snake, lizard, second owl pic, porcupine, and hippo were with the 70-200 (sometimes through some filthy glass, unfortunately). The rest were with the 300/4 + 1.4TC.

You need to stop posting these shots from your 85 or I'll be $1500 poorer very soon.Originally posted by TDFTW
