Renting a place in Vancouver for a week or two

So I'm gonna be out in the Vancouver area in Aug for two weeks.

Was wonder what was the best way to look for a place to stay.
I looked at the YWCA hotel cuz it's just gonna be me alone. Their single bed with hall washroom are about 69 a night plus 8 bucks for parking.

But I was wondering if people there rent out their place or a time share thing I can do.

I'll be driving out there so parking is going to be an issue.

that YWCA thing sounds more expensive then a 3 star hotel through priceline

I suggest checking out sites like kijiji, im sure you are gonna find something that way.

There are some good hostels too. I know the one in downtown Vic is really nice.

I think I know which one you are talking about. The Ocean Island Hostel in Victoria.
But I am gonna be in Vancouver.

There is a great hostel on Thurlow, just off Davie. I've stayed there a couple of times, great location, especially if you don't have a vehicle. I don't know what a single room costs but maybe you should sign up for the shared accomodation one.
