Default new seals for the integra. what kind?

springs coming up and i have been planning on putting all new seals/gasket, etc in the head and new rings for my b18c1 motor. i believe in putting oem parts into it. but i talked with my dad and he said that sometimes aftermarket could even be better or atleast the same as oem quality.

so i have these 2 sets i am looking at.

    1. silverhill acura set is $250 for the headgasket set and $175 for the piston ring set. so its just over $400 for it.

2.world pac set is $150 for the headgasket set and $100 for the piston ring set. so its $250 and i save about $150.

so my question is, has any one have experience with world pac and the quality of there product. i am in school so i am hoping that worldpac is good and save some money. if not oem will do.

    thanks

when you use worldpac just look at the brand of parts you are getting. worldpac sells a lot of OEM parts, for much less then the dealer.

Worldpac buys a lot of what the OE manufactures do not from their suppliers, so on most cases (probably 80%) you are getting an actual OE part just re-labeled for the aftermarket.

And the good part is that they carry the same warranty

Yes, but to a certain extent.

A lot of the discards that the OE supplier rejects from the shipment are missing label/stampings on the parts or a batch was tested and failed to meet the criteria of the OE buyer.

So these companies trying to recover some of the costs in manufacturing these parts sell them to aftermarket suppliers (ie. Worldpac) at a discount to get rid of them.

Take it for what its worth.

Yeah worldpac is ok for some stuff, but critical parts like headgasket and bearings I would only use OEM supplied.

For non-critical parts, take the water pump for example - Worldpac sells them for $50-60 for that engine, Honda/Acura is $110+. It is the exact same pump made by NPW (Nissan Pumps Mfg Co.).
