Plastic money is sweet. I love the Aussie money. Go swimming with cash in your pocket, no problem. Accidentally put your jeans through the wash with cash in the pocket, no problem. Caught in the rain, no problem.

Plus it lasts longer and will create cost savings.

Can't help but laugh at some of the first posts. Weak arguments. You sound like old men that are afraid of change.

Plastic generally has a lower coefficient of friction than paper, so I imagine snorting cocaine through a rolled-up hundred will be a more efficient process.

Now those thieves will never de-value our money!

    hahaha.
They will likely take in old bills and destroy them as new bills are circulated.

Swimming with a pocket full of pesos is no big deal because they aren't worth jack $hit.

This thread has gotten very off track so I don't feel bad at all for this contribution
    As Giovanni Versace said:

It's funny reading all these comments made about the new way our paper currency is heading. For me, I wouldn't care whatever it's paper or plastic... hey, a $100 is a $100 no matter how or what the legal real banknote is made of!

Who cares if it's all for a good cause - making the banknotes last longer and more tougher for counterfeiters to copy. To me, it's just one more step closer to cash-free society when that day comes...

Money is just numbers in our accounts anyway!

I deal in ounces of Nazi gold only. Makes customers hard to come by, but they're very discrete about their spending.

Even google can't come up with a proper definition for that acronym, so you'll have to expand on that one. Take your time though, I wouldn't want you to break a hip.
