Default Lowered Car/Noise from rear passenger wheel

I lowered by 95 civic with some red Eibach lowering springs, I think they are a 1.6" drop. I assumed the struts were fine because the car drove nice and didnt make noises on hard turns before it was lowered. Now that it's lowered, when I take a hard left there is a clunking type of noise in the rear passenger wheel area.
The wheel is not rubbing on the fender. Does this sound like a blown shock? I thought if it was the strut, wouldn't it make this noise on a hard right turn as well? Hard right turns handle perfectly with no noise. but a hard left results in the noise on the right side rear wheel. Any ideas what this could be?
    Thanks guys

The same noise is now being heard from that wheel when I gonover bumps. Has to be the shock right?

could be a one or more of MANY things. unless your have plenty of experience as a mechanic it can be hard to diagnose. IE, the type of sound, the loudness of the sound, and the exact circumstances that cause the sound. take it to a shop a let them diagnose it.

lowering your car will always give you these kinds of noises. this is a result of your trading out all your nice and quite rubber bushing to the more robust and harder urethane units.

i wouldn't be too concerned as it probably the springs smacking against each other during travel. check to see if there are some vinyl silencer sleeves for your coils. this usually eliminates most of your noise concerns.

other than this, it could also be your pillow ball mounts, unfortunately there is not much you can do about this.

Simply check your shock for wetness, it could be a blown shock and you may be bouncing it off the bump stop....just an idea. Shocks that are blown usually leak out all their fluid.

I missed the part of stock struts...

yeah they are more than likely blown... get some KYBs on there.

As stated, its either a blown shock or one of the many bushings.

EG Civic? Check your trailing arm bushings. I believe thats one of the more common bushings to go that can cause clunking noises. Then again, you might as well inspect your LCA bushings as well while your at it.

LCA bushings are brand new, I will have to look into the trailing arm bushing.
RickDaTuner I don't think this is just a noise caused by lowering springs, I previously had a htach slammed with tiens and KYBs with no noises other than fender on tire.
I think I'll get some KYB's and check the trailing arm bushing. Thanks guys
