New bike day. Didn’t even think about keeping my bottle cages from previous bike and apparently those are also rare…what. Strange year

Looks fun, congrats. Cannondale? Model/specs? The seat stays are sooo low lol. Do they pivot?

Cannondale Topstone Carbon 5, does have something like 20 mm of travel. Excited considering how shitty the road riding is around Airdrie, hoping gravel will open some more options

Nice ride! I managed to pick up some specialized cages from bow cycle recently. Are those road pedals? If so I'd swap them out for mountain pedals/shoes if you're going to be doing ANY walking on dirt/gravel.

Stoked! I'll be up there in 2 weeks. How were the horseflies? Did you do Ninja Lakes or Happy Hour?

Nice! Looks great in black. If you haven't already, convert to tubeless, it's a gamechanger even on gravel bikes.

My wife and I both got wrecked by horse flies haha. Bunch of nice chunks taken out of our skin from them.

I was so gassed by the time I finished On the Rocks that I passed on happy hour/rush hour/etc. Into the mystic was primo though. Lord of squirrels was super loose. Definitely some fun sections but man did my arms hurt after from all the rocks and roots on the trail bike!

Probably one of those rides I will do once.. maybe twice to do happy hour/rush hour when my legs are in better shape.

Bought a 2020 Hightower off Pinkbike. CC carbon frame, X01 drivetrain and AXS derailleur.

After getting the mountain bike, wanted just something I could ride from the house to the reservoir or with the GF to get ice cream. Picked up this old CAAD8 of Kijiji for a few hundred bucks. Seemed hardly used and came with Shimano 105 components.

Bikes for large men look so disproportionate haha, the rear triangle is so tall.

If anyone wants to unload a hardtail MTB/gravel/CX (or maybe even road) for <$1000 I'm looking for something to tool around with the kids on, pm me. Size Med.

New setup in the office. A bit cramped but it fits and the headwind can stay where it is all the time; monitor can easily work as TV for Zwift.

Now to hope I have any cardio left!

Always been a fan of the walls so i had to do it. I put a cushcore insert in the rear too and tbh it was nowhere near the battle a lot of vids portray.

It’s a lot easier with the light exo casing… DD or DH casing? Shoot me

^^ That makes more sense now, i watched a ton of install vids and they all sounded pretty tricky but this went on super easy. I definitely should've paid more attention to the casings.... It was so confusing on the Maxxis site with all the different types.

Yeah, I think for tan wall it’s basically just exo… probably have max terra too? Max grip is nice, but I think most of our trails are better suited to the terra and they last way longer

You’ll probably be fine though, I’ve only killed one exo+ and that was absolutely bombing down Jean Guy without really paying attention to line

Yeah i recall it being very slim pickings for tan wall options. One day id love to be good enough to ride JG, that start was scary enough just walking it.
