I used to own a Trek Series 4 4300 Disc from 2007 with black and red(instead of black and grey). I had it stolen, I reported it stolen gave the SN and never heard back from the police. Here is the closest picture I can find to it:

I don't know much about bikes but it was a pretty wicked bike!

I'm on the hunt for a new one, and was thinking I am just going to pick up a cheap bike from Crappy Tire for now(as I'm strapped for cash right now). Then when I can get more saved saved up I'm hoping to purchase another Trek bike, they are very reliable and very well built imo.

    Bike I'm looking at:

    CCM Torrent 2AL Dual XC (Sale: $299.99 // Red: $449.99 - 30% Off):
    Brand Name - CCM
    Frame Size - 16" (41 cm)
    Frame Material - Aluminum
    Wheel Size - 26" (66 cm)
    Front Suspension - Yes
    Rear Suspension - Yes
    Speeds - 21-speed
    Shifters - Shimano EZ-Fire
    Front Brakes - Disc
    Rear Brakes - Linear pull
    Rear Derailleur - Shimano

I'm just getting back into biking as it's been 3 years since I've ridden a bike, I know this is not of the highest quality but it seems pretty decent when I checked it out in store.

I am going to be a one bike guy this year. Sold my Giant, Santa Cruz and soon I'll be selling my Kona Dawg Deluxe frame.

The parts from the Dawg are going on one of these frames:

    Giant Glory DH
Only upgrade I think is Code DH brakes

    Giant Trance X1
Stock, no upgrades - hell of a value from the factory IMO

Couldn't be happier with either, I am so, so, impressed by these bikes.

Just picked this up. Got a great deal. It's a bit banged up but it definitely does the trick for my first good bike.

So did you figure out what is actually creating that noise on the front?

Tightened up the suspension a bit. Some things were loose. Works awesome now. But hoping to pick up something better next spring. Both my cars are almost paid off so should be easy to get something better.

edit to add that the bikes posted after mine are all

It took me 2 hours to swap the parts over from my Kona. Had to trim some housing, but everything fit.

Got it dirty this morning - rides great.
