New bike day! Picked it up off some older gentleman who didn't ride it too much. Other than some scuffs here and there, it was practically brand new (for a 9 year old bike). My chain gauge wouldn't even fit into the chain haha

    Haha definitely

I've owned 5 different Jake/Jake the Snakes alone. That said, I was looking for an aluminum Giant Defy or Specialized Roubaix for commuting when this came up for cheap and I couldn't resist.

    Well… I pulled a @Buster

…deal was too good, was losing NOT buying it

Med frame though, so tossed on some raiser bars and the cockpit is pretty close to my analog bike.

Took a day to get it all sorted out but did a quick fish creek lap with it and it’s hilarious. Especially in boost for the descents, half a pedal stroke after braking and it’s right back to trail speed

Umm… less than people are asking for the analog Meta of the same vintage… by a fair amount. That’s all I have to say haha

My climbs are what maintains my Greek God-like bod. It’s exercise with a reward. Though I do 30+ days a year of bike park each year ha ha.

Add me to that train, I fucking hate the climb and me getting an ebike is pretty definitive of my take on the earn your turns motto. I got nothing but respect for the guys that can though because until you've tried it you will never understand how intense it can be.

Do you have a link to the down tracks at fish creek? ive heard its nice out there and wouldnt mind climbing some of them on the ebike. Kidding! I really do want to try that place though so if you have some recommendations that would be great.

In regards to Merlin/braggin is the unwritten rule to go up the right side and then come down the left? Thats what we always do and when we see others out theyre doing the same too but ive seen guys come down that way too. Is there any unwritten rule over on ranger/summit/snakes/strange brew?
Everyone I know does Ranger summit up and Strange Brew down. Rarely have I seen people riding down Ranger.
