    Yep!

I didn't want to extend them into the cab directly, so they are extended with a vertical loop to allow for a see-through inline filter at the low point for inspection.

That way even if I get into water deep enough, it won't migrate down the hose far enough to get into the diff or T-case. I can also visually inspect later on to verify it without having to disconnect the line or replace the oil.

dude what an awsome idea!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks!! tomm im going to be doing the intake snorkle mod thingy on my jeep ill be picking some of the stuff u got there to!!

Get the dents pulled and take a payout from insurance to get it Linex all over. You'll never fear another hail storm again lol.

Good to hear for both the damage and Broken axle. What made it so special?

So i installed a cowl intake here some pics

First i plugged the existing breather hole

For this i used 4 screws to hold the plastic cover the plastic cover i got it from an antifreeze jug works good and white silicone heat and water resist

    Over look view

    used a 90 corner

    Pics say 1000 words

At the end i put another 90 facing away from the vent opening this way if i wash the jeep or anything no water will go inside, even if water goes over the hood while off roading it will drain out wayy before it comes close to get sucked in to the air hole

this whole job cost me 80 bucks with the saw hole i needed

what ur truck or ur intake lol, it was a clean cut on both the intake and the jeep where the pipe ends in the cowl, i had some fender lining rubber strip that I wraped the edges of the cut hole so the pipe wont get damaged it it moves or shakes then sealed the top end as u can see in the pic drives alot smoother as its getter colder air better then the engine air also gained 20 km to the tank!!! lool

I am more worried about cutting the sheet metal than the intake box. I wouldn't mind getting a snorkel eventually but I don't think I would use it that much. I guess it pays for itself the first time you use it lol.

If you're looking to get serious into wheeling, and you've got all of the necessary armor upgrades done. Your trips are taking you to places you're not sure of if there's a river crossing or a large puddle...The chances of needing a snorkel is going to be a little higher than compared to Waiparous depending on seasons. For example, we did a trip to the Whipsaw trail one year and there was a puddle that seemed really innocuous, since I was the one with the snorkel I HAD to be the mule. Needless to say I had water up to the door handle and it caught me off guard!
