We're rolling out of town Friday at 6:30am and rolling down with 20-30 people, should be SIIIICK!

I'm SUPER choked about the Public Enemy/Massive Attack and Ween/Boys Noize overlaps, but either will be a guaranteed good show.

    To get some stoke going...

I am going- leaving from Fernie area early Friday.

I went last year and it was one of the most incredible weekends of my life- no joke. The lineup was pretty darn good last year too and the weather was amazing. Ben Harper, Silversun Pickups, NIN and Janes Addition were all amazing.

This year, the lineup is pretty darn sad for being such a big label event at the Gorge. I don't know any of the headliners lol. Massive attack seems like they could put on a decent show. I wish they had some more upbeat headliners playing instead of an orgy of indi music.

Either way it will be a good time, and don't expect much production out of yourself next week on your return!!

Been watching like a hawk and so far it looks like it will hold up. Friday looks the worst out of the 3 days but temps around mid 20s and POP less than 30 for sat-monday look doable.

    Last year it was HOT!!

EDIT- got better since this morning!

POP is only 30% when it is supposed to rain, so it'll be light if anything.

Packed tonight! Shaving the Mohawk after work tomorrow!

SO. EPIC. My voice is still gone, for once I'm glad to be working behind a desk today.

Aside from small amounts of rain and the sound cutting out during Public Enemy's (awesome) set, the weekend couldn't have gone better. Killer bands, wicked weather and the scenery was almost as beautiful as the women

Watching 20,000 people all go nuts dancing during LCD Soundsystem was mind blowing.

LCD Soundsystem was definately the highlight, I loved Massive Attack and The XX too. Was really surprised how poor MGMT were for a Main Stage band.

MGMT was one of the worst shows i've ever seen. Everyone was so excited and then they started and everyone just kinda chilled and thought it sucked.

MGMT sucked at Coachella too. I wonder if it's because of all the bad reviews they're getting about their new album. Everyone wants to hear the good songs off their first one and nothing from the 2nd.

They played a bunch of songs from the first album too, they just didn't have the talent and presence to pull off a main stage appearance.
About half way through in an effort to drum up some enthusiasm a bunch of people ran through the middle of the crowd with balloons, where I was sitting it looked like the entire crowd turned around to watch the balloons go by and completely ignored the band on stage.

I'm pretty sure that was part of the show, and they all blew away anyway no one was hitting them the right way.
