    Default LF: Hockey Goalie Equipment

    Hi there!

My friend is starting a hockey rec league (floor and when we're good, ice) and I get to play goalie!

However, I don't have any equipment and was wondering if anyone has any moderately used yet cheap stuff that they'd like to sell/give? The mask and the protective cup I'll get new but everything else (blocker, catcher, pads, stick, chestpad...) I need. Granted, this is my first time playing hockey regularly so I do apologize if I'm missing things or sound ignorant on the equipment. I love watching it and solely that, but that's about to change!

Just throwing it out here so hopefully, someone can help!

    Thanks!

also the online classifieds and the bargain finder.

a lot will depend on how much you want to spend.
The last Sport Swap I know in the NE is now closed so I don't know where the used places are. All I've seen are brand new and they're >$200 for pads alone.

$200 for leg pads is pretty decent.. I personally wouldnt feel comfortable wearing something cheaper. (For Ice at least)

I have some old gloves that could work for ball hockey.. but blocker would need some work for Ice. (Holes in palms)
I would sell the pair for $50. Brians Air Hook glove, Heaton Blocker. Red/black/white.

Do you have pads too, by any chance? Someone told me about "Play It Again Sports" who specializes in used hockey gear, so I'll check them out and see what they have.

Now that you mention it.. I do have leg pads that woul dbe suitable for ball hockey.. Ice they would be questionnable. (I previously used them in ball hockey leagues)
I will try to get pictures tonight... I'd do $100 for gloves and pads if you were interested. I havent used either in probably 1.5 yrs?

    Pictures would be nice

I'm just solely focusing on floor hockey right now, so that's fine.

Well if you find 'em, holler!

Sorry to bump but anyone have any goalie bags?

I am half-way there from becoming a true Canadian. I just gotta learn how to skate now.

    Bumpity bump.

I was wondering if anyone has full-right gear that they'd like to get rid of? (right catcher, left blocker)

I'm looking for cheap, used stuff because I'm normally a lefty but I play regular as a goalie; just want to try it out and see if it makes a difference.

So no fancy new gear that I'll be afraid to get ruined.

    Cheers!
