Fido is bringing back tethering! Yeah!

Just got a text from fido saying there bringng back tethering. I was sOo mad when they disabled it on newyears. I always used it when I traveled. I don't know about Rogers if they disabled it or not. It's says they Re bringing it back on may 4.
Who eles uses this service?

Doesn't everyone have an iPhone anyway? Download an app that allows you to setup a wireless AP on your phone and then you can access the net as if it were any other wifi network.

Then you don't need to worry about the networks disabling tethering again, and it'll also work if you have a smaller data plan.

i have always tethered on my iphone and never had any unexpected charges or cut offs...

Yeah I have a text on my BB from Rogers that tethering is coming May 4. I didn't tether before and I won't tether now haha. I have 6 gigs a month and I use less than 500mb. Oh well, I got the 30 bucks a month deal anyways.

Ive been tethering since my first iPhone.

I've upped my usage to about 5.5gigs now, on average.

tethering was NEVER disabled. You always had to have minimum 1gb data though to tether.

On Fido's website it says:

Effective immediately, tethering will continue to be included at no additional charge for Fido customers

It was never disabled. The current tethering policy was set to expire on May 3rd, but they decided to extend it indefinitely.

Makes sense. Nothing new to talk about, so this is what they do for April :P

I have a problem then, cuz last year it worked fine and after new years they took it off completely from my iPhone. I reset my networks and Now it say I need to call fido like WTF?

you only have 500mb of data right? you need 1gb or greater to tether
