good old Calgary April weather

The power in our condo is constantly browning out right now.. I'm on the laptop to keep the main PC from getting damaged.

yup, superstore country hills lost all power and they kicked everyone out.

Just hope it doesn't freeze too bad over night.

I'm glad for this snow though. The ground has been soo dry and there's been some major grass fires. Hell, i've been worried someone's going to drop a lit cigarette on my lawn.

We lost power for about 10 minutes. I have a bitchin UPS on my cable modem and router tho so I kept myself entertained. Granted, I know kenny has a much more bitchin UPS to run everything in his home

Last April we had 2 major snowfalls so I wouldn't switch the tires just yet!

In before the 'calgary weather sucks I can't move my car on summer tires and i'm moving somewhere else warmer' or 'it's been 2 hrs why hasn't the city plowed my street' complaint.

The brownouts seem very widespread. I'm way up in Kincora, and they at least reach East on Country Hills, and then all the way down to Coach Hills. (At least).

I too complained about the weather, but really, this is Calgary... where it often tends to be a little messed.

I'm near MRU and flickering a lot, UPS'es have triggered 80+ times in the past hour or so.

I just got a call from work. Part of our job involves keeping an eye on power all over the province, and they're reporting that there is power hits all over Southern Alberta. Not just Calgary.

You might want to shut down anything that is susceptible to brownouts and minor surges.
