Default Big Interview. Wil this look good?

So I have a big job interview in Calgary for a large company and want to make sure I look appropriate for corporate downtown calgary. I've had my own company for several years and all my old suits are outdated and out of the question.

Will this suit fit the image of 'corporate success' in downtown calgary? I'll have a different shirt and tie.

This is a Sean John suit, I know its not the most expensive but it fit great and the price is definitely right for my interview suit and the first one of many needed for the job. Input? Suggestions?

I'm positive this would be perfectly acceptable. Good luck!

You must also keep your hands in your pocket while shaking your tailfeather when you walk in to the office in order for this suit to look its best.

I would be more concerned about spelling "will" correctly

Make sure you don't worry about this guy's advice. Open or closed is fine, just don't do up the bottom button.

It's more about how a suit fits than the actual style. The one on the picture you posted looks good on the model because it's a good fit to his body type. For example, the sleeve length and pant hem have been tailored to his specifications. Also pay particular attention to the fit around the shoulders; if it's too big it will drape on you whereas too snug will constrict movement and may even tear the hemline under the arms.

My advice is to give yourself a day or two between the purchase of any suit and the first time you wear it in public to allow for proper fitting and alterations at a tailor. Depending where you get the suit, they may offer onsite alterations. Give Puffy a call and see if he'll include that in the purchase price.

Both was are fine, but I think the decision should be based on what kind of people will be interviewing you.

If they are extremely stuffy lawyer or corporate types, then I think buttoning it is a good idea. But leaving it unbuttoned gives a sense of casualness while still being obviously dressy. This would be good for applying to places that are a little more laid back.

I've always been a fan of having the top button done up, shake hands, unbutton and sit.

I do agree that fit is very important and will be sure to tailor it to fit perfect. Its very close off the shelf which is surprising.

I usually just go down there a few days before and walk around for a bit to see what everyone else is wearing. You don't want to overdress for the interview, just dress the same as everyone else.
