A few years ago I bought a used RDX and the seller instructed his wife to take out the all weather floor mats (which I didn't care about because they were from a BMW and didn't fit right), and remove the Silverhill Acura license plate cover.

I told her the bill of sale says "as-is" and refused to let her take the license plate cover, mostly out of spite.

When I bought my truck it had browning floor mats in them and I would have tossed them anyways... but the seller actually wanted them and sounded like they had some sentimental value.

I mean there's probably some collectibles market for that but if I were the person who decided to hang onto that bucket 60ish years ago, I'd probably get an unused bucket from the restaurant if that was the goal.

I guess reality is it was left untouched in some persons home for eternity? In good shape for the age.
