So cool! I'd totally take ya up on that but my motorcycle experience only involves 2 stroke honda dirt bikes. Might be interesting lol

^ thats okay, I can teach you, I've taught dozens of people to ride over the years, even a few beyonders. Lol. I've done track days at Race city back when we had it, and fairly fast too. 1:31 on a bone stock Triumph 675 isn't too shabby. Also with 29 years riding experience, I know a thing or two.

The Vrod will eat the Vulcan for breakfast, it's basically twice the bike the Vulcan is, despite the engine only being 227cc's bigger. Porsche did a pretty bang up job on the engine. That's the only reason I bought it. If HD designed and built it, I'd never in my life have owned an HD. I sure learned a lot about fixing bikes due to the amount of HD's I've fixed on the side of the road in my teen years. Those Shovelheads & EVO engines..... oh god don't even get me started, I'll go off in a fit of rage. Lol

This VROD is different though, the tank is 5 gallons rather then the 3.4 of other models, the pegs are much more under you then the others, and this has a 40 degree lean angle, along with Brembro brakes. Biggest bitch I have about it though are the tires, both took almost a month to order in, so I'll have to have multiple spares at home to avoid the downtime. I also have an astronomical two options. 1 model of Dunlop's or 1 model of Metzelers..... yeah nuts eh? SO much choices here. I hate Dunlop bike tires so its rocking Metzeler Scorchers now.

vrod is the Harley for non typical “HD” types I think. I take it you haven’t invested in orange & black underwear, vests , chaps and beanies?? Haha! So rare to see one of those. Tres cool, good to have you back on board.

^ thanks homie, you're one of the few reasons why I started posting here again. Jeez, now two of my three bikes are rocking metzeler's. I switched the dunlop's on my Vulcan to Metzelers since the dunlop's were dry rotting. After a whopping two years. Yeah I really dislike Dunlop tires, after just about bailing on my buddies R6 while putting my knee down on a cloverleaf, I stuck to pirelli's on the 675. So you down to go riding? I learned on dirtbikes when I was 6 at the farm. So you have all the experience you need. Asphalt is a lot more predictable then dirt typically, but a lot less forgiving if you do bail. You'll be in good hands riding with me, lol I ride my Vulcan like a sport bike, grinding the pegs is a regular occurrence. I just wish it had more power, then I'd try drifting on it. But that's what the Vrod is for. Lol. I don't know, pushing my bikes is just in my blood, nothing I miss more then scraping my knees in turns.... So um yes? I do very much miss my Trumpet at times. But at last, with race city gone, it made zero sense to have a sportbike. But with the 44k km's I put on it since new, Lake Louis was the farthest I've ever been on it, and even then my knees, wrists and ass was more sore then Richard Simmons would be, after a night out with the Oakland Raiders, blind folded on Viagra, so I said screw it, time to buy a cruiser. With the Vulcan, the day I bought it, I put 900 km's on it, and I felt perfectly fine afterwards. So I was quite happy.

2006 Vrod street rod edition. Quite the muscle cruiser. With its 40 degree lean angle, Brembro brakes, should be a lot of fun. Tempted to see how it performs, I have yet to ride it. If it performs well enough, quite tempted to try a track day with it. I'll probably one of the first people ever to do a track day on a modern Harley. Lol. Name: 20180302_132654.jpg

yeah it was a tongue in cheek joke, but okay. I'm somewhat well versed in "sport" Harleys. I was even around when they released their I'll fated 1985 XLCR.

Just put on a small and subtle add on that I think looks pretty sharp if you notice it.

I'm digging the chin spoiler. Where did you pick it up from? That and a head light cage were next on the list for my nightster.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm not really a flashy guy, so I keep my mods pretty low key.

I got it off eBay for like $35 and painted it myself. I have a hard time forking out the 3-4 times the money for an OEM one when it's just a piece of molded plastic (that you still have to paint).

I have a Daymaker knockoff that I've been meaning to install. Maybe I'll get to it this week, even though it's only supposed to take like 10 minutes to do haha
