planning to switch mine and my wife's account over to freedom from rogers. Anyone have couple friends and family discount codes we can use?

I think i am going to switch over from Bell, any last words of advice before i take the plunge? Also, any codes or discounts?!
They still have the discount going on? Might convince my mom to switch then.

F&F discount is still going on, you'll need a hook up tho.
This holiday season, Freedom is going for the throat.
Competitive flagship subsidization. The only provider that will do $0 2017 iPhones (up front cost all loaded into MyTab Boost to be paid off in 24 payments). Aggressive Tablet plans (just got a LG Pad IV at $0 at $15/mth 4GB tablet plan).
That's said, their change all the plans before this push and definitely not as good as old plan. Especially for roaming (especially US) at same or even higher price point. Definitely keep grandfathering if you can.
I'm surprised they are going that hard against the big 3.
Wouldn’t mind a F&F discount codes if anyone has some to spare! TIA!
Looks like iPhone X is out of stock for pre orders, hopefully they get more soon or I might just get a 8 for now. Anyone have a reservation they no longer want?
Does anybody have a f&f discount they could spare? Much appreciated!
I am willing to bet all those iPhone from this plan will be/is out on Kijiji right now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

LTE is live in Calgary.
Hasn't it already been live since Freedom's initial lte launch?
Or do you mean band 4?
Yes BAND4 was available before the iPhone preorders. BAND66 is the more impressive one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Whoops, should have clarified. LTE for all grandfathered plans is now live. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If anyone has another F&F code hit me up lol. I talked to Rogers and they wouldn’t move much, I even tried to get the $50 plan no dice let me know, thanks.
Gents,
Is there a way to check if you're using wind's band 4 or if it's band 66 you're connected to?
Reason I ask, is because I want to know if band 4 and 7 are available where I am. APparently calgary is supposed to get the lte band 4 & 7 upgrade available in december, but not sure if it's been fully rolled out.
Also, with band 4 & 7 being available as well for LTE, do you guys think the coverage of freedom will improve? or is it just that device compatibility will increase but the coverage will still be crap?
I would assume it's the same towers that is serving them. So it's all about compatibility then coverage and you don't need to buy a 2017 phone to be on Freedom. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Signal Spy (Android) should tell you everything you need to know.
So far in Alberta only Airdrie/Edmonton/Ft Sask has Band 4. Band 7 will probably only comes into play in the core/dense areas. But being 2500Mhz, I expect it to have even worse penetration than older bands.

FYI, for anyone that pre-ordered the iPhone X 256 gb, if you pick it up today, then they are only charging a $40 instead of a $50 tab boost.
Sounds like it was a good deal...
Any idea how long the waiting list is like for an x for walk-ins?
Edit: wow, looks like I got lucky. Walked in to add my name to the list, and there were a few cancellations for some of their 256gb models.
Also confirmed, was supposed to be $50 tab boost charges, but it was only $40. Sweeet!
