Not bad. The second square on the top row is my favorite.
wow realli like your work man! totally digging those heater control ones
wow...Calgary's got Talent!
The heartbeat camshaft is cool!
As always, nice art man.
Very nice
Its not only about money. Its about freedom, friends and family too.
Very nice. Love the distractions one.
Thanks, I appreciate your support. I'm looking at applying to a 'unseen art' show, basicaly they are looking for anyone who has never exhbited their work before. For that, I'd love to make a whole bunch of the distracted driving ones to fill as much of a wall as I could. I'll also try and get some other shots of the heartbeat, so you can see how the two peices are seperated from each other.
edit: I think it would be quite fitting to have a bunch more of those made as that law against distracted driving may soon be implemented in AB

^^ Awesome, where is this art exhibit?
.. But love the distracted drivers one. Best peice of yours yet, IMO.
Thanks swak. I'll hopefully figure it all out Friday and then start applying for it if they still have space, I don't even remember where it is right now. I'll let you guys know when I find out the details, if I get in...it might be too late.
Son, I am dissapoint in the heater controls. Why no "road head" one? This is art for cryin' out loud, push some boundaries!
As far as entertaining the above idea goes, I think the most obvious is to have another head sitting in the lap. But this creates a few problems for me, and no I am not dismissing the idea because it certainly can happen in cars however it is problematic because I am aiming to keep the derivative of the person sitting as a constant throughout. On top of that, the idea of the people engaged in such activities has been commonly seen on signs before, primarily on the internet, and in my opinion the idea can certainly go stale after a while. What I think would be more interesting (and more challenging) would be to find a way to infer that without touching upon that 'internet feeling'.
And as it would turn out, my friend and I were looking at the deadline for applications for that show and it was at the end of April, so the day we were going to call about it lol. We called anyways, so hopefully there's still a chance of getting in.
And here's a detail shot of how the crankshaft piece is assembled. 1 bolt, 3 nuts, 3 washers, and 1 acorn nut per corner.

Well, for whoever may be interested in attending, I got into the fore mentioned show! Opening reception is August 13th (yes, Friday the 13th haha) from 5-9. Some of the panels ("Are We There Yet") and as well the crankshaft ("Pulse") will be on display, among other artists work. All featured artists have never been exhibited in a public space before this event.
Show will be up till August 28th, so please come by and support the arts! There should be some interesting things there. I (among all the other artists) will be there for the opening night.
Thanks again for the support everyone,
Jeff
Great wallpaper/t-shirt material.
Congrats!
I love your work haha, you selling any of it?
Thanks. And yes, it is for sale, mind you the panels and the crankshaft peice I cannot sell privately right now as they will be for sale at the gallery, but if they don't sell there then I can certainly sell them after, privately. PM me for any details
i like the last ones
they're awesome
Well, tonight is the night! Reception starts at 5 and runs till 9 if anyone is interested. If you can't make it out tonight, no worries as the show is up until the 28th. Lots of interesting art on display, including a GIANT gopher painting haha (not mine).
Hope to see some of you there! Thanks again
Jeff
