    Default BMW Za Headlights

Anyone knows how to change the HID's in a BMW Z4? One of them looks like it is changing color from white light to a different color. Anyone ever saw this before?

When HID bulbs go bad, they tend to color shift, then go red, and then die.

Bulb change is super easy, twist the ignitor, then twist the bulb.

Change both sides at the same time, even if one only appears bad. This keeps them same color

Easiest way is to jack the car up and remove the tire. You can turn the tires all the way in one direction to get at it, but a little trickier at getting at the bulb.

There is an access panel in the wheel well. Open this up. If I remember correctly there is a cover that needs to be removed from the bulb. Unplug the electrical. There is 2 prongs holding the bulb in. Squeeze together and pull back. Carefully pull the light out to watch which way the light is sitting in the housing. This makes it easier to reinstall.

^ This. Remove the wheel first, or trying to access any of that AND replace the panel is quite frusterating. With the wheel removed, you can access everything quite easily.
