I was just assuming he was at a party and his buddies prolly slapped it on there. Not like a cop will give you a ticket for it, he'll just laugh and tell you to take it off. If it is meant as a prank by friends, then it's funny.

Actually the cops can give the driver a ticket, doesn't matter the reason (excuse), obstruction of license plate. All depends on the cop... but then again double edge sword right, pending on which cop pulls you over.

I can confirm he would get a ticket. I had a summer job and one of the guys bought a mustang II. He thought he was super ballin cause he was rocking a mustang, and we bugged him all summer about it being a pinto in mustang clothing, and it being a POS. One day we took some cardboard and put it over his plate with the word PINTO in black felt. Next day he came in with a ticket, we paid for it...........

Really? I never would have guessed. I'd hope that a cop would have a bit of a sense of humor. Oh well, is what it is.
