How to check if an old car is still active?

Doing some spring cleaning recently, and found my insurance from my old '67 Cougar, was just curious if it was still on the road or not. I tried carfax, but since it isn't a 17 digit VIN, it doesn't work. Any other ways to find out?

Go to the registries, they can tell you, costs 20$ tho i think.
