Lego is awesome, even for adults. I want to have a couple of their realistic cars with my other models.

Also loved "technic" when I was a kid.

Did anyone have a lego program at their school? I remember in elementary we had a program where lego gave our class two huge briefcases containing lego and motors ect. Anyone know what that is called? I always wanted it. I remember you could make a motorized car, chainsaw, all different creations.

I think it was a special sub-set of Lego Technic called 'Dacta'.

Each group had a complete set in a case with holders for all the gears, blocks, etc. The teacher would visually inspect and weigh each set after class to make sure no pieces were 'lost'.

That was posted on RFD, I missed out

Sad thing is it is, the biggest, baddest Lego set ever is discontinued now

Wow, I remember building an army spec hummer in Grade 5, thing was freaking epic.

So much to do with lego, now I have three giant tubs full collecting dust.

Well Graham can vouch on this. I wish more people played with Lego when they were kids, because at my job even the most simple job of stacking boxes proves difficult for many people.

You can tell old lego, because of it's low lead/depleted uranium content

I've always wanted to build something life sized with just bricks, but even those are freaking expensive for that large a job.

Its pretty bad when your a student working 2 jobs. I'm $1400 in debt now too, and I always tried to keep out of debt and not spend money unless I had it.
