Weather looks good in Medicine Hat, there will be racing Friday night, including a bracket race if you are into that. Saturday is a full day of racing for $30.

This event is aimed at guys that have street cars that are actually driven on the street, so come on out and make some passes. It's a bit more than a Secret Street event to enter, but you should be able to make lots of passes saturday. We generally guarantee 3 qualifying passes(assumming no major oil downs etc), at least one round of eliminations for everybody, and test and tune passes once/if you are knocked out of the competition. A trophy, and a bit of cash for the winners of the classes as well. I personally feel it is the best 1/4 mile event of the year(mabey a bit biases), and have heard the same from others as well.

High of 16 tomorrow gonna be a bit cloudy with probably some scattered rain during the day but i doubt theyll cancel it cuz of that.

I still think its happening. Wheres Secret Street to answer this question?

Any rain will make the surface very slick. Unless it's very early in the day and the sun is there to dry everything up after that they usually cancel it.

Don't get me wrong, I really hope it runs but from experience when it rain that day they usually cancel it.

Can anyone give me the breakdown on the helmet rule because I am getting different stories from different people. Does everyone have to wear a helmet or is it just if your car is faster then a certain ET?

13.99 at Race City, NHRA rule.

At Castrol everyone has to wear one.

you have to wear a helmet and it has to be DOT approved regardless of the car or your ET.

If you got a helmet though you may as well bring it, doesn't hurt to wear one.
