It was just a matter of time eh.
nice, just in time for father's day!
about time. lol

I like the 70-200VR II one.

It even comes with a "lens" pouch lol. So unnecessary.
I saw that and was impressed, but now I'm not certain that's the actual mug... I think they used Nikon's 70-200 pics and photoshopped a hole in the front for the one pic, haha.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

I think you are probably right. I didn't look at all the pics before, but the last one is simply a pic of the actual lens.Originally posted by BerserkerCatSplat

I wanna a 14-24 mug i bet that would be more popular than the 24-70 just because it's an amazing lens and would make all the canon guys jealous!
Man.. I have to admit. The Canon mugs look better. Nikon lens never really had a signature look. The gold lettering? Who gives a shit?!? Looks like my crappy Tamron lens! Red rings and white lens bodies are where it's at. Sorry Nikon.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
The old school Nikkor lenses did.Originally posted by clem24

how about nikon white and black with gold lettering?
This is just the 28-70, but they made a 70-200 too.
I saw one dude at the camera store with one and I went
Nikon made a 70-200 in white too...it's just rare as feck.

The 300/4 is available in white also...I think some of the bigger tele's as well. Very rare though.
IMO the Canon white lenses look really cheap, and from my understanding one of the reasons they are white is to help keep heat off of them because the fluorite they use is very sensitive. Not a big fan of the Nikon white lenses either, except that 28-70 looks incredible.
I think the white was just brilliant marketing on someone's part...every time you see a canon shooter at a major sports event you know he's a canon shooter because of the lenses...but that's just my thoughts and I'm sure your reasoning is closer to the real reason

I dunno Steve. Attach one white 24-70 to a white D3s and you have the Unicorn! Oh wait thats almost fairly realistic as people are so pissy over the lack of D3s bodies lol.
That 24-70 sure does look nice though. I also think it's impossible to reason with why a camera manufacturer does anything anymore. They seem to become less and less predictable lol.
Some coffee mug maker is having a good laugh, really who "needs" this? My birthday is coming up and well.... fine I need one.
There a white 70-200 on ebay right now!
