Default Which SE Asia city to visit for shopping and being lazy

So my wife and I want to take a 7-14 day trip to a SE asian city. We want to shop like crazy, and get cheap massages every day!

I'm thinking somewhere in Laos or maybe in Vietnam? Any suggestions from people that's been there? We're not real big party/drinkers.

    Thanks

    Kuala Lumpur without a doubt.

Laos is more of outdoorsy sort of country, not really the best for shopping etc...

Saigon would have basically everything your looking for, and cheaper but shopping/luxuries are in much larger supply in KL.

    Phnom Pehn.... No.

Bangkok.... Great however I couldn't imagine spending more than a 3 days inside the city and there really isn't any good beaches near by. Phuket/Koh Samui would be the best area check www.nokair.com or www.airasia.com

    Hope that helps.

Vietnam doesn't have much for shopping compared to other cities..

I would suggest Beijing... tons of shopping and the flight isn't as long lol

No. He's looking for shopping and they're not really big party people/ drinkers. Thats exactly what Bali is pretty much. Its the Aussies version of Mexico for them.

Thailand would be your best option.
You can stop by Bangkok for some shopping and fly out to Phuket or Koh Samui after for relaxation.

Vietnam doesnt have much shopping, just good when you want to do attractions, good eats and beach (nha trang).

what type of shopping do you wanna do, if you are into more high end stuff then Singapore or Kuala Lumpur would be good for that. Shopping in Bangkok is ok at best. As for relaxation, I loved bali, and the shopping there is decent. As a suggestion, fly into Singapore for a couple of days, get your shop on, then hop on an Air Asia flight to bali for relaxation. Air Asia flights are cheap and its about a 1.5 hour plane ride from singapore to bali.

Singapore is great for high end shopping, but if you are up to it, look into the night markets for the bargains

Singapore. Not cheaper than some of the other places mentioned, but you'll have a great time.

I would say Manila although the city itself is not all that nice. Great shopping though(Mall of Asia and a few other smaller malls). People are awesome, everythings cheap and you can do day trips outside the city if you want.

Singapore is nice too but it's expensive.

If you want cheap shopping, massages and great food - Manila

Just wanted to add - 14 days in just one city in my opinion would be too long, especially Manila (unless you have friends/family there)

Makati City & The Fort were great areas to shop/eat. Getting hassled by taxi drivers gets tiring after a few days.
