Israel wants to choke the Arab population so badly that they leave Gaza and go somewhere else or die (preferably the latter). Then Israel can freely take Gaza as it's own land like the invisible man in the sky said they could. It's ok to starve and destroy the Muslims because they don't believe in the same invisible man.

I would argue that in this day and age there is no such thing as an unbiased media source. They simply don't exist. What one needs to do in this day and age is read as much as possible from left and right leaning news sources and draw your own conclusions if you can.

Last I heard "Siege" - was a little more like storming the castle with pitchforks.

It is a naval blockade first and foremost, a glorified embargo with religious background. Can't get chocolate in Gaza, I say too bad... In the EU/UK you can't get Canadian sealskin anymore either (furs and skins, which used to be the backbone of the Canadian economy not so long ago.)

It is a constant struggle to keep trade open between friendly nations, nevermind ones who aren't. If only 25% of trade goods make it through, thats actually a pretty damn good average in my book (especially considering nowadays that the international water ships are being poached "legally" by Somali pirates)
