Skunk living under my deck

There is a skunk living under my deck. I think its been there for a few days, but I just saw it walking around my yard today, and as soon as I went outside it scampered under the deck....

What should I do?

Take action, call a company to place caged traps. And hope to hell the skunk does not spray the area.

Not much will drive a skunk from where he wishes to be, so a cage is about the only way... even then they can spray when caged as it is a nervous situation.

1 cage + 1 sardine + one blanket

Place blanket over cage when skunk is caught. Let it go in the wild. Seal up his hole.

Best bet is to call pest control.

we had the same problem at our house. the skunks will leave during the day and since they are creatures of habit they will always return . so what we did was during the day we dung the down in the dirt in front on the deck and layed a metal mesh in front and covered it back up
so far skunk free for over 6 months

I was hoping there might be an easy way to get rid of it, but I kind of figured I would have to call someone to come trap it.

Any recomendations on a company to call?

Catch it, take it to the vet and have it fixed up and made healthy and clean, and keep it as a pet. Skunks are cool!

I would think 311 would be a good place to start. I would think they would come and remove it with animal services and i don't think there is a charge...
