    Default 02 Cav Z24

Decided that with the new turbo setup on its way i should be able to stop as well so i went this route:

while doing the big brake kit i also swapped in 1999 pontiac grand am aluminum control arms with prothane bushings which save about 4 lbs a side and help with unsprung weight and wheel hop

made a decent sized greddy intercooler fit

the built engine on 11 psi with the .82 hot side with the gt3076r style cold side GT35R made 403whp and 350wtq as well. currently adding a couple things fuel related and afterwards going for 20psi and 500+whp and 450+wtq

specs on the build done to the car engine wise are:
    •9:1 .020 Overbore Wiseco Pistons
    •Eagle Rods
•Clevite 77 Rod And Main Bearings

why spend the money in a fwd beater? Not saying it rudely, but just curious why you didn't sink mod money into a car that would handle/look better?

I think it's a cool build! I like seeing regular cars like these transformed into crazy builds.

Although that being said, I do have a soft spot for Cavaliers as I drove my dads through high school.

its not a beater, its what i drive for the summer months, my winter beater however is a 2009 jeep ........... SRT8.

for what i paid/invested into the car as it sits i personally think its not a bad platform at all. it has everything suspension wise done and handles pretty good.

as for the look better comment, to each their own, i like the cav

I counted eleven "FWD beaters" as projects on the first page of the garage alone. Why aren't you posting in their threads, telling them what cars to build up? Also, I didn't see any project threads from you, so STFU and worry about your own cars before you start calling other people's projects beaters.

Nice build. That's a really well done car.

Aftermarket parts for J-bodies are crazy cheap compared to other platforms, you've probably spent way less on this than people would guess.

    Good work

Even though i am not a huge fan of Cavaliers, yours is probably about the best you could make one look. Good work and don't let the haters get to you.
