Default Map: Where Americans Are Moving? An Interactive Map.

    Interactive map, click and learn

A terrific project put together by Forbes magazine, one wonders what a Canadian version might take shape as?

Most interesting is the movement from Las Vegas and other major cities. Las Vegas has major movement away from the city where a good paying job was once assured, pre real estate crash.

Detroit is a wash of red, exit and lights left on, they ran. LA, looks like many ran and ended up on the west coast and southern USA states. Headed back home to where life was somewhat normal. LA LA in the dust.

Look at anyplace in the Dakotas, slim movement as expected.

In all it looks like the grade four string art I once did, a peacock on black velvet...

Zoom in a bit, makes a bit more sense.

    WHERE ARE THEY MOVING? MAP.

A lot of people left Honolulu. Funny to see ones that went from Hawaii to Alaska - he fucked up at work.

This is actually pretty interesting, especially when you can look at the average income of people moving in/out. Lots of time spent on this one!

Canadian version of this migration map would be cool to see, but very predictable. Lots of red lines from Central & Eastern Canada, heading to the West... and then a number of red lines from small communities heading to the cities.
