But another one to consider, which I'm told is fantastic, is Octopus Garden

Any other good sushi restaurants in the Vancouver or Richmond area that aren't as expensive as Tojo's?
It won't be as good that's for sure. To be honest, you really can't go wrong with almost any sushi joint in Van since the fish is so fresh. Tojo's raises the bar, nothing else comes close, and is worth every penny IMO.Originally posted by Speed_69

It's not terribly expensive, and if you're there, you should splurge at least once and give it a try. We had 4 people there 2 nights ago, had lots of booze, ordered 7 or 8 rolls, sashimi, and some nigiri sushi and it worked out to $550 after 25% tip. It costs about the same as a night out at a Calgary upscale restaurant.

The 9 meal course seem fine for me. Even included fried banana split.

not to derail the thread, but if you are ever in Toronto go to Sushi Kaji. Best Sushi in Canada.

Eldorado for sure, for lunch we love hobo sandwich. Cedar creek winery is great.
Omakase at Sushi Bar Maumi is still really good and doesn't break the bank if anyone needs an alternative to Tojos.
I really enjoyed it, but you really need to call in advance and make reservations. It is tiny. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you are going to Kelowna, drive south a little ways to Peachland and check out the Gasthaus. Amazing German and one of the coolest restaurants in the area. I would also recommend Theos for Greek in Penticton.
