Should be within the next week to ten days. I heard Apple is pretty hell bent on supplying the huge demand there is, and that the have been ramping up the production. I would have been out there today if I didn't get laid off and if the White iPhone 4 didn't get delayed. Oh well. Enjoy your phone ladies/gentleman

Thread will re-open once everyone picks up their iPhone4 and we can start talking about the flaws again.

Now that most of you have used your new iPhones on the Canadian wireless networks, are the antenna problems overblown?

I dunno, I can make my phone drop 3-4 bars of reception pretty easily. And then internet is slow as hell. Haven't called anybody though and tried it. I always leave the plastic on the front and back of phones until I get a new case/shield so when i made my first call, i was like WTF, why is it so quiet. Googled it and realized I had to take it off

Then I tried the flash and it was all blue, same thing, had to take the plastic off ugh.

    Rogers customer here

I have no dropped calls what so ever, I've called and used the phone a bit already. I do have a case on already (I bought one), so maybe that's why. I did try the death grip but managed to only take away 1 bar, and that's without the case.

Reception might not be as good as my old iphone 3G, but good enough. For example, when I'm in my underground parking, I had no reception problems with my 3G, but with the iphone 4 there's no signal.

Internet on my iPhone 4 is way faster than my 3G, so I don't know why Psycotic is saying it's slow, maybe it's a different network.

    Apps run smoother as expected.

The only negative thing so far is that my FaceTime isn't activated yet. I've called Rogers regarding the issue, and all they can tell me is that due to the overwhelming activations of iphones, it might take a while to get it to activate. We'll see what happens in a few days.

I don't have issues. Actually, I gained reception lol

Rogers is dumb Jordan Andy, the person you talked to is dumb. You call them and tell them to reset your mms and everything will be good. Try sending an mms. I'm pretty sure you'll receive a free bucket of fail

called my buddy who has iPhone 4 on fido, he was driving and all of a sudden he couldn't hear me, but I could hear him fine (for about 5 seconds) he told me that it was down to 2 bars when he was holding it just then, no dropped call but cut the voice for a bit.

All is good with the jailbreak here. Wouldn't work on wifi for me, so I turned of wifi and it took right away on 3G. Took all of less than 2 minutes. Now i can get my iPhone4 back to 'normal'...

after you jailbreak it can you run ultrasnow or whatever through cydia to get the carrier unlock too, or is that still not available?

Carrier unlock is supposedly less than 48 hours away as per the dev team.

And it looks like FaceTime is broken with the jailbreak, they are working on it right now.

EDIT: Looks like everything is cool, just have to restore a backup from before you jailbroke, and it fixes the FaceTime/MMS issues.

Data is canada-wide on rogers/fido, so I'd think they'd probably be the same on telus. May wanna confirm though...

EDIT: The "fix" below is suppose to correct the issue with facetime as well. I can't confirm since I don't use facetime.

Fixes the MMS and carrier update issue with the latest jailbreak:
