Default hard drive reading extra extra?

my 3gb or ram, qx9650 ($1100 cpu) windows 7 64bit strangly is always reading the hard drive and i am not sure what it is doing, i disabled all non ms services , no spyware , i even disabled search indexer.

i did the windows 7 defragmenter but it didnt do anything.

like now it fine but loading up apps is when it happens.
