    Default Stampede 2010

I guess I'll start the thread off this year for stampede discussion. Saves us from having 15 threads all on the same thing!

Went down tonight with Rolland and our son for sneak a peek. And aside for +29 heat, we had a blast. Nothing too different this year as usual, but still worth the trip every year.

Some of this year's 'new' foods sound pretty disgusting, but some don't sound too bad. Chicken on a stick (we actually saw this one and it's just chicken fingers on a skewer for $10), deep fried pickles (didnt get a chance to try these even though I LOVE deep fried pickles), and the uber disgusting sounding one, pork parfait. Didn't see this one tonight though, it must be harder to find.

Still have another trip or two planned sans baby, so I'll get to eat what we didnt have a chance to tonight and enjoy some rodeo action.

What are everyone else's stampede plans/events/observations?

They always had these but only works on weekdays. You can also get 56 credits to use on games/rides for the weekend.

It's $36.75 after tax just so everyone knows.

Mac's also has a admission tickets that are $2 for $22 tax included. You also get 2 coke or any other spirit type drinks (no ice tea). Some stores will let you have it anyways, you just got to ask nicely.

I plan to go on Sunday again to save admission plus a free breakfast with it and probably one more time using the mac's ticket with my girlfriend on another day.

Should be a good one this year with some good weather on the way. Hopefully it stays that way.

Well.. Too late for the Safeway things. I got them yesterday but am sure they are not sold as soon as Stampede starts. So as of now, no more $35 deals.

There might be other people selling them though, so look out in the marketplace.

Wife and I are going to head out on Sunday morning to take Madison for her first stampede and save on the admission, and do the whole kid thing with her in the morning. We then plan on going back with a couple friends in the evening for the bare naked ladies on the coke stage and then find a beer gardens somewhere.

After that, I plan on avoiding anything stampede like the plague.

i listen to cbc radio and their food critic said the pork parfait was actually his #1 pick for foods down there, it's at something T's in the bottom of the big 4, he said it's basically the KFC's chicken bowls, just with pork... basically pulled pork in the bottom of the bowl covered in mashed potatoes and gravy.
