anyone know how to back this thing up or transfer files to the phone from my pc? I cant get my pc to load the drivers from the phone and i cant find them on the net...help

telus is getting the galaxy S apollo, but it's garbage, smaller screen (3.2 i think), 600mhz processor, just trash...

That's the drivers...

You have to run it in kies mode though and that means you can't use your phone at the same time

I think I read there is storage mode too where its just sd card that mounts

Yeah the HTC Desire is even better then the galaxy S apollo. I have under a year left on my contract with telus so I either stick with them and buy the Desire or else switch over to Bell and get the Galaxy S.

And from reading this thread it sounds like Galaxy S is the way too go.

I'm pretty sure HuMz meant the Desire is better than the Apollo Galaxy that has not been released on Telus yet. The Apollo will probably be similar to this:

Switch the USB mode to "mass storage" from "samsung Kies".

Its in settings/about phone/usb settings.


On a side note, I am trying out ADW Launcher, seems pretty good. The widgets on Launcher pro are nice but one of the dock icons are broken for me.. not sure if this is a bug with the Galaxy S and Launcher Pro or just my install.

Its a bug in your install. Launcher pro works perfect for me on my SGS

I think I prefer AWD launcher too.

Is there a easier easy to position the text cursor without tapping? The iphone I think beats android in that feature unless there is a way that I just don't know about

Trying to figure this out. Its my only gripe. That's the only thing I miss on my nexus is the track ball for that purpose.

on swype, swipe from the swype (i) button to the SYM button and it'll show you a d-pad... then you can move around

on samsung keyboard hold down the ?123
