Apparently you're only allow to call a phone a Nexus ____ if it's full of win. Like my Nexus one. It's sick, and the new Nexus is just even better.

I'm convinced this is software related. I frequent the XDA boards and for a while it was nonstop failures.

It seems since the second or third release of froyo the majority of failures are from custom roms and most are fixable.

I suppose this doesnt necessarily make the situation better since a failed a phone is a failed phone but I LOVE MY PHONE. I really do. The list just goes on with what I can do with it.

To top that, I wouldnt generalize samsung like that. They are one of the most innovative companies in the world. Take a read of a review on the SGS 2 which may change your mind about samsung phones.

But inevitably everyone has a right to an opinion...

They must of all picked up the Bell version (I9000M Vibrant) that was the piece of shit of the Galaxy S line. Although the new ones are fine now. Mine died twice, sold the new one Bell game me and got a Captivate, much better handset but also a Galaxy S. You can't really generalize the Galaxy S's as there are many versions.

Well.. I think I soft bricked my phone. (Captivate) Was in the process of going back to stock from Cog 5 beta. Just get the phone and pc icon with exclamation now. I cannot for the life of me get into download mode, I have tried every combo I can find at xda. Prior to this I could get into download mode all the time holding vol+/vol- and inserting usb cable. This no longer works.. any suggestions?

Hm, I've had that before too, when I accidentally unplugged it during a flash. However after pulling the battery I did manage to get it into download mode. (Bell Vibrant though)

Just installed darky's mod 10.2. I had 9.2 I believe.
Huge difference.
When using the internet zooming in and out is a little glitchy. But the biggest difference is the battery. It lasts sooooooooooo long compared to before.
I bought a second battery cause I had to change it when ever I got home from work. Now it lasts the whole day.
Totally worth the change.

Well I am unsure how but my screen is now cracked. The small portion below the home button and the bezel is cracked. It looks like an impact even though there was not one. Put phone in my pocket and pulled it out 20 mins later and it was there. Phone still works flawlessly but its bugging me.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to go to get repaired?

So picked up startup cleaner and widgetsoid. Both are awesome. Pick them up while you can.

Widgetsoid made me fall back in love with my phone again.

Telus has a Gingerbread update for those with a Fascinate. Sadly, my GPS doesn't work anymore after the update. I waited for 20 minutes with no lock.
