I'm a big pussy I tear up in almost every movie even with a little touching moment happy or sad moments. But ones the deffiantly get me going would be Click, and for sure Young and Dangerous 3 when Smartie is killed.
Not necessarily a movie but the two Futurama episodes. The first one being "The Luck Of The Fryish" where it shows the story between Fry and his brother Yancy. Especially at the end when he discovers that the famous Fry from the past was not his brother but his nephew whom was named after Fry.
The second one of course being "Jurassic Bark". At the end when Fry decides not to revive the fossilized Seymour thinking that Seymour lived 12 yrs after Fry was gone and has long forgotten him. But then it shows the flashback of when Seymour after Fry left and how he wanted on the sidewalk of Panucci's pizza place until he closes his eyes at the end.
Such a great thread!

for me it was in "Up", watching the kid get old with the girl and then watching her pass away...
to kill a mockingbird - the court scenes were very emotional and very inspirational.
Ok, this might not seem like much now, but as an 8 year old kid, I was pretty fucking traumatized with emotion...
To me the OP was pretty specific in what he wanted. A kickass emotional scene. Something with emotion but something that kicks ass at the same time. For example, the scene in Leon that i posted where it's sad emotionally but you say "fuck yeah" at the same time. IMO This thread got derailed with people just posting “tearjerkers” which are emotional but don’t fit under the OP’s category.

I was wondering what parts of any movie really grabbed you by the heart and made you pay attention, made you sit up and go "wow, that was incrediawesome... or made you cry, well up, or feel a lump in your throat. Links would be preferred so we all can enjoy the moment too, but if not, then I'm sure discussion will flesh out the specific moments
I was trying to find this part.Originally posted by Darkane
Right there. Big deal for me since I hail from there.
Even though I know it's Hollywood, the real battle did take place. It's said Leonidas actually died quite quick in the final stand and the Spartans regrouped FOUR times, driving back the enemy attempting to get his body. In the end not one Spartan stood.
The Persians thought these guys were fucking insane. The Spartans would be bathing, fixing their hair, and using perfumed oils the final night. Preparing for their Deaths.
I just Visited Greece a week ago and went to some sites. Went to Sparti and checked out the Monument there. Couldn't quite make it to Leonidas' final fighting spot where another monument was raised. Cool shit. [/B]
Also the other part where he says: "Tonight we dine in hell".

Hardball- when the little kid gets shot.
Road to predition- Why they went to the beach house at the end still bugs me everytime I watch it.
Some good posts....nothing as good as this though....
From the movie Glory, Denzel's first Oscar:
Watch between 5:00-8:00...theres an amazing story behind this...
Denzel as part of an all black fighting brigade (the first ever in an american war) sneaks out at night to get shoes. His are worn out and people are suffering/getting gangrene etc. They think he's snuck out for other reasons and Matthew Broderick, despite his hate for slavery (he encouraged the fair treatment of African americans), he needs to make an example of him. Watch the defiance in Denzel's eyes as he refuses to break....until the end at 8:00.
Also watch just how much it kills broderick to be doing this...

I've seen all of those movies and you can call me heartless, but with the exception of the Land before Time, I can't say any of those movies really really moved me.
I can't find the youtube video, but the one thing I have seen recently that hit my light a freight train was the suicide scene in the series finale to The Shield. It's a shame you have to watch 7 seasons of shit to get to it though. But I can say when I saw that it was like someone punched me in the gut.
Another good really dramatic pinnacle "point" in a movie/series is the end of first Kenshin Trust & Betrayal OVA. I'm not sure if it qualifies as super "emotional" but it's not much different than the jump scene in Sunshine in that regard.
oh god the memories.Originally posted by 403Gemini

The Warlords. Saw it last night, tons of scenes which are pretty emotional. Especially the scene where they slaughter everybody.
