    Default S13 front end clunking...

Ok so here's whats going on

    - Clunking when getting into the car
    - When driving slowly
    - when turning slowly
    - when going over smaller bumps
    - I can stand on the frame and rock the car to clunk a little

I took it to nissan for a front end inspection and they charged me $140 to say it's fine. Took it to speedtech and still couldn't locate the sound

I installed Circuit sports Tension arms so it can't be that...
Im thinking the Front Top Bearing Mount Insulator?

any info would be great, thanks

It's either the shock, LCA bushing, ball joint, shock top hat, sway bar end link, inner or outer tie rods, or TC rod.

If that TC rod you got is a spherical ball it is still very possible for them to make dirty noise if not properly maintained. They need to be washed thoroughly and then lubed with something like chain lube.

If you want I'll have a look at it and I'm pretty damn certain I'll find your issue as I've dealt with probably 50+ 240's.

I thought so to Evan... I bought the fuckin bushing and took it to nissan but they looked at eveything and said it was fine? The two mechanics who took a look said they drive skyline/s13's and that the sound wasn't anything serious.

What suspension are you running? I had a set of jic coils which had the same issue. Upon inspection the shock piston had a fraction of a mm in lateral movement, meaning under loads where the shaft was in bending stress it would pop, creek, under turning the wheels, over bumps, even standing on the rad mount and making the front end bounce around. Try swapping another set of front dampers on and see
