Default Blackberry Torch - are you buying?

    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...luid-Interface

Looks sick, finally an all in one - touch screen with slide out QWERTY keypad. Anyone know any retailers that will be selling at good price?

It doesn't use SurePress - it uses a capacitive touch screen just like everyone's favorite fruit company uses, with no 'buttons' underneath. No clickity-click.

I would very much like to get one of these handsets.

I'm on the fence right now. I really wanted it when it was leaked, but after reading the reviews on it, now I'm not so sure.

Here's a video comparing the web browser between the Torch, iPhone 4, and an Android phone.

It it comes in cheaper than the iPhone, I might get it, otherwise I'll probably switch.

everything it uses is like 2 year old technology, every companies top phone right now has atleast a 1ghz processor, this one is 624, and it still uses its shitty 480x360 screen. I used to love RIM, but they seriously need to step up there game.

    9700 FTW. Small and slim.

I think people will still buy the 9700. I would feel awkward sliding the screen up just to use the keypad. However, I may have a different opinion of it if I see it in person. But still, looking at it sit next to the iPhone and be bigger than that... Ugh.

trust me, once you get away. you'll realize what you've been missing! I had the pearl 8100, curve 8300, bold 9000, storm 2 9550, and I ended up getting an Iphone and was so much happier with it. Web browsing on the blackberry sucks so much, watching youtube was brutal! The only thing it did well was BBM and the push emails.

Now after visiting some family in the US, and playing with a bunch of droid phones. I can't wait to get one!

I've owned or used pretty much every BlackBerry except the Storm. I think they are great phones but the more I read about the torch and the more I look at what else is out there, I'm starting to seriously think about switching in the next few months.

If only someone can get BBM working on an iPhone.

RIM's in a bit of a panic over the sales of the Torch, price drop apparently.
