Ek Coupe Fun

Hi, so i recently purchased this ek coupe completly stock and decided i would have some fun with it and this is what has happen in the last 2 months.

I didnt take much pictures but i will be sure to now.


So first thing i did was lower it and roll the fenders.



Lowering it was a pain in the ass, all the bolts on the rear LCA
broke off and had to be drilled out. Took about 45 min a bolt, from there THANKS TO JOE G i needed new lower controll arms and he delivered some blox racing lca's just in time to finish lowering the car before the weekend.

Now i am using ground controls and the ride is really good, still waiting on koni yellows to come in the mail.

and obviously every car lowered with rolled fenders needs some wheels so i went with some sportmax 0 offset wheels. always wanted to rock some of these.



thanks to my buddy he happen to be at PNP and found me some mint Acura el seats to replace the shitty stock ones and a armrest for 60 bucks lol!

Along with the seats i did a cd player and speakers, no big deal got all of it on sale for $160 and it sounds awsome.

From there i did a full brake conversion just cause i dont like the way drums look and what would look better then some new brakes behind the new wheels. so i did eg6 sir with abs brakes. With that i bought all new wheel bearings ball joints rotors pads calipers stainless lines.
All through JDM SOURCE always some good parts at a awsome price.
Didnt really snap a shot while i was doing the swap since it was just as much of a pain in the ass as lowering it but we had it done in about 8 hours.

Then a front and rear lip



Then some bad luck

flooded infront of my friends house and a ford f150 smuked my car.



So i vacumed out all the water pulled the carpet out cleaned it all and put it back in, took about 4 days to dry and now you cant even tell it ever happen.



so i bought a brand new 2000 civic front end thanks to initial_d
and a new Carbon spoon lip from Jackie and will at speedtech.

Of course i love to do everything myself so me and my buddy primed painted and installed everything.





And yes its spray painted, i can spraypaint better then paint gun lol

Now im waiting for the paint to cure so i can wetsand and polish it.





This is how it sits now.

Im currently looking for a front and rear ek camber kit so i can go lower, please pm me if you have one for sale.

And i am also looking for some.

-intercooler pipeing random bends or whatever
-blow off valve
-downpipe or exhaust pipeing


and possibly if i can get ahold of this stuff for cheap
-gt28rs
-AEM EMS
-Crower Turbo Cam

UPDATE


Spark plugs were fucked up so i did a mini me swap so i can start building my turbo kit








Runs good, no check engine light or leaks.

Also picked up some parts.
GOT A SMOKIN DEAL on a Crower Stage 2 Turbo Cam!

You can spray like that? holy shit man.. really good.

Could I contract you out to do a hockey mask for me? Case of beer? ha ha

lol iv never done a hockey mask but if you want i can try. You need single stage automotive paint. Its the most durable and easiest to spray. Any body shop supply store will mix it for you in any color you want. 16 bucks a can, and you want 1k build primer and thats about 9 bucks a can. i would say you need one of each, and after a week or two it needs a wetsand and polish to be really smooth and clear reflection.

Sweet, Thanks for the info. Ill see what I can get as far as a colour (its currently painted, which i did myself, but it looks decent...)

So some updates.

Went to do a oilchange spark plugs and fuel filter.
And sure enough this car fucks with me.
The previous owner must have stripped one of the spark plugs
and while i was replacing it the spark plug broke into the head.

So I did a mini me swap over the weekend.

Updated my original post so all the pictures are there.

That sucks! Did you do the headgasket and arp studs while you had it apart?

new headgasket old headstuds, i got another motor on the side, this engine is basicly to test everything on, gota fab all my charge pipes and whatnot cause the old intake manifold was garbage.

But so far so good, the pistons were mint, didnt burn any oil or anything and from what i can see everything seems to be perfect with the mini me swap so maybe it will last a few months on a gt28

Goes in on tuesday to my buddys at calgary autoworks to have the downpipe and charge pipes made. Aswell as my new 6puck clutch should be here.

Very excited will post pictures next week of the setup together

That little turbo will be enough for a stock bottom end.

It will spool stupid fast and be lots of fun.

Got it from a guy on kijiji who made it. It's actually pretty decent quality.
