My 08 civic build

So I've been holding off making one of these for a while now and thought it's finally time I made one, so here it goes!

A couple pictures I took when the car was shipped down from a dealership in Edmonton because they had the only Taffeta White in Alberta.





Took delivery of the car in April of 2009
Purchased the OEM HFP lip kit package installed prior to taking possession for a more aggressive appearance.





Kept the car bone stock for a few months and the modding began..

The very first thing I decided to do was tint the windows all around.
30% in the front and 20% in the rear.



Shortly after that I ordered a set of 6000k HID low beams and 2500k hyper yellow bulbs for DRL's


Picked up a T1R T128R titanium shift knob from speedtech



I then started saving up for a new set of wheels and over the winter of 2009, I purchased a set of 18x8 +45 offset Work Emotion XD9's in matte bronze.



As soon as the snow was off the ground, I picked up a set of 225/40/18 tires and a set of red Work lug nuts and mounted the wheels early in the season.
Now I was dying for a drop...





After that I de-badged the car and did a red tail light overlay

I decided to do something a little more aggressive with the front end so I ordered a OE style Seibon carbon fiber hood.
At the same time I vinyl'd the roof, grill, and bottom part of the front lip in black to complement the hood.



After redoing the roof 3 times, we finally got it perfect with no bubbles





and the finished results...





After all these cosmetic mods and I was still riding on stock suspension, it just didn't look right so I ordered a set of skunk2 springs which had one of the more aggressive drops as far as lowering springs.



After about a 2" drop...





After that, I was pretty content with how the car looked but it was definitely lacking in performance and engine mods so I picked up an Injen SRI and a T1R 63s cat back exhaust from a local 8th gen civic owner. Thanks Barry!





Had some fitment issues with the exhaust so I had Paul at STRD re weld the hangers on the axle back.






Finally, pretty well sums up the mods to date on my car.


Huge thanks to the team at speedtech for getting my car where it sits now.

I did the roof with a buddy, but you only really need help laying it down, the rest can be done by yourself.

How does the overlay on your taillights affect the reverse light? I was thinking of going full red but I thought it would be illegal cause I wasn't sure if it would look red when I put it in reverse.
