Yes, and a douche bag for doing that to a friend.
FYI :
Christi talent management is now called Creative Talent. Be aware if you see some girl go around and telling you they need actors and actresses for hollywood movies, and have you sign up on their little notepad. UC students is one of their targets.

Thanks for the 14 years of LOLs. Govern yourselves accordingly and avoid uppercut reactions!
I applied, went in, talked to the guy, told him I wasn't paying $150~ just to start off at like minimum wage to sit around and wait. Thats all you do

Just wondering. If she's a professional scam artist... then if I borrow a buck from a friend and never pay him/her back... does that make me an AMATEUR scam artist?
lol
LOL reminds me of That 70's show, when jackie goes into some shady office and the lady tells her and Donna then can be models/actors hahaOriginally posted by copynpaste
they do casting for TV shows and movies but make you pay a startup fee to signup in their system. They bring you in for a free one on one interview and sweet talk you saying they have so many jobs on the go and are casting roles for all these big movies. THey are really pushy, I had a friend in there awhile ago and he said he was ask at least 15x in the 2hr interview to sign up for the course. He politely said no each time but the guy kept pushing and pushing. I think its $180 a year and they claim that they teach classes to train people to become actors (something like $5000 for 2 week course). I didnt give them any money but i know many people who have and they all said that theyre a scam.
Once they get your money, they dont find you any work at all. if they do, i heard you have to work the first 20hrs free and then after that they start paying you.
i hope ppl dont fall for this these days

worst part is definitely when the dudes smacking it with his dick like that inside out anus owes his dick some money.
Its the nature of things. Even bottom feeders' got to eat too.
the only thing you should be paying to an agent is a cut of your earnings. This usually ranges anywhere from 10-45%. I don't have experience with Hollywood movies, just tv commercials.

A group member in school got approached by a lady saying they needed extras for the new Spiderman movie. He signed up and she told him that she'd "interview" him shortly. I remember reading this thread and asked him to google the phone number he was given by this lady. Low and behold, it belonged to ChristyOriginally posted by Xtrema

So confused, how do you get the other menu, is there like a secret chinese handshake, or do you need to bring in a jar of blood from a chinese daughter?
I need like a how-to - order chinese food for white people.
HAHAHA, you have experience paying 45% commission to an agent for a tv commercial??Originally posted by wintonyk

Did they buy you dinner and lube it at least?
15% is industry standard for an agent. I pay 20% to split over two agents if they are both doing work for me, which is generous.
