Clear PVC / Acrylic tube is hard to come by in town... Especially if you're looking for cast rather than extruded. One of the few places is GE Plastics up behind the mail plant at the airport...

I know the aquarium guys who like to DIY skimmers etc - usually end up going to ebay - you can get leftover hunks in the industrial / MRO section for way cheaper than you could possibly order anywhere else...
