get an lcd for anywhere, with the 120/240hz it's superior in all ways.
Last year, i worked at a shop across from where my dad works and it was a 30-45 min commute (30 being on the low side)...
My dads been doing that commute for at least 5-10 years now.
depends on the type of commute, I come in from cochrane everyday to my office by chinook and it takes me on average 45 minutes but leave at 630 and am done by 2 so i never run into traffic. if it were a situation where everyday i was in 30 minutes of bumper to bumper rush hour both ways i would probably kill myself after 3 days.....

Nonsense. You've all got slanty eyes, play Starcraft, speak Chinese and eat nothing but sushi and ginger beef.
DON'T TRY AND CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE
right now it takes me 20-30 minutes per way i think that's tolerable, i wouldn't want it to be any longer than that.
My brother lives half way between here and drumheller and it takes him just short of an hour each day each way, i could never do that.

If my commute is more than an hour (combined there/back) for the day, I get pissed off.
Usually it's 20-25 mins there, 35-45 mins back depending on the day. So usually I'm pissed off lol.

It takes me 30 minutes into work in the morning, but with minimal traffic because i leave right before 7. Getting home is a piss off because i generally leave at 4:30 which makes the commute home anywhere from 40-60 minutes depending on traffic and construction.
Wel that all depends. I'd drive 2 hours each way - if it meant I was making 200g a year. If I was making my standard wage, I'd be willing to travel 30-40 minutes max. Otherwise, I'd start consider buying a place closer.
I'm 45 minutes just because this city is f*cked in the head...
I'd happily do a hour+ commute - on the highway... In town traffic sucks; it's nice to blast down the highway, sitting on deerfoot at rush hour ... Totally different matter
Takes about 35 minutes going to work and an hour from leaving work to stepping foot in my house. I've gotten used to it and don't mind the bus cause I just fall asleep on the bus when I get on it. I wouldn't tolerate anything more then a hour and a half.
Coventry Hills to Blackfoot and 42nd. I leave around 630 and Leave the office around 3/3:30. Never more than 30 minutes unless someone fucked up deerfoot real bad.
Dont think I could do much more than 30 each day but that is mainly because of what the commute would be on a bad day where someone crashes. If it was consistent (like perfect subway or walking) I could probably do 45 to 60 minutes.
When I lived in Bridgeland and our office was in Eau Claire I used to walk.

Chestermere to to just out side downtown (17th ave ish area) 25-30 min in the morning, usually 30 min home. Not so bad if you ask me! Winter it can be pretty bad, but not that often.
12min.... 8 if i hit all greens.... 15 if i get stuck behind a stupid train on 42nd...
use to do 25-40min... but never again... if i did end up getting a place out of town i would probably keep a small condo in town to live at during the week
At my last job, I spent approx. 15-30 mins commuting one way each day. At my current job, even though it's actually TWICE as far away as my last job, I spend approx. 10 mins commuting from door to door thanks to only 3 sets of lights and Glenmore for 95% of the commute. Because of these jobs, I'd have to say 30 mins. is max that I'd be able to tolerate.

but it always ends up being the day im running late
I spend between 8-15 mins one way depending on the time that i leave and the timing of the lights.
Years ago i used to commute an hour each way. It sucked, but we car pooled and was paid location allowance because of it. Being paid to drive (wage) and $500 after tax a month for driving one day in a 4 day work week was WELL worth it.
I drive to airdrie everyday. From new brighton. I have different start times almost everyday. Today my start time was 830. I left at 735 to be on time. I got to work at 845. I cannot stand calgary.
Max is about 5 minutes for me. Seriously.
